Last donations of the Pimp My Village Foundation!

This year ends with the 2 last donations of the Pimp My Village Foundation.

We where able to give a donation to the TOSANGANA (TOUS ENSEMBLE) Foundation of juliènne Doppenberg-Difukidi and Stichting Kaalo Nederland founded by Abdisalam Ali

1.       Donation Stichting Tosangana

juliènne founded Tosangana in 2006. The projects are situated in Kinshasa, Congo

In 2010 Juliènne and her local partner put up a primary school that has been extended with 8 classrooms ever since.

Our donation will be be used to put doors and windows into a new Chemistry Practice Room:

Juliènne: “children who follow chemistry training need a classroom. Until now the children have been traveling 45 km to get to a practice room for Chemistry. Because we have been renting it until now and couldn’t offer it for free, not all children could afford the costs. To give all children the opportunity to practice Chemistry and follow the classes, we decided to built our own chemistry training classroom. We just finished the building of it and will use the donation of Pimp My Village to install the windows and doors."

2.       Stichting Kaalo – Abdisalam

Abdisalam founded the KAALO foundation in 1994 because he wanted to provide support to the vulnerable communities in Somalia.

Abdisalam: “The donation of Pimp My Village will be used for our ongoing Sustainable Education project. This initiative is dedicated to supporting seven schools located in remote towns within the Puntland State of Somalia by providing solar energy and computer labs, thus enhancing educational opportunities for students in these underserved communities. The Sustainable Education project follows a successful model previously implemented. We will use the donation of Pimp My Village to buy the computer desks and the benches in the classroom.”

 Happy New Year!

Next Year I have exciting news…
