Pimp My Village will be Local Changemakers from now on!

It´s time for a change!

After 12 years of Pimp My Village it was time to upgrade myself and my organization!

When I started Pimp My Village I was mainly supporting the projects of Diaspora(migrants) that put up development projects in their Country of origin with crowdfunding and other ways of funding. I was inspired by my father who showed me the ins and outs of this important form of development cooperation.

But!!! These last 5 years my focus changed from financial project support to Visibility and Training/coaching (capacitybuilding).

I noticed that the Diaspora (Migrant) organizations were doing great work but lack visibility and want to professionalize and gain more knowledge. So that´s why I would like to introduce:

LOCAL CHANGEMAKERS

This is my new social business! I will still support Diaspora(Migrants) and Locals that put up development projects or a (social) business but now my focus will mainly be on:

VISIBILITY (STORYTELLING)

TRAINING - COACHING

KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE

LOBBY FOR DIASPORA AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES WITHIN DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION

I will start up some new projects and will continue with the Diaspora Masterclass for international Development that I do together with Wilde Ganzen.

I am looking forward to a new adventure!

P.S. Still developing the logo but this will be it for now..
