Empowerment Pack is a succes
This week I will be sharing Nellie Kirschner-Timmer´s – To Be Worldwide Foundation update!
To refresh your mind …
In 2004, Nellie (half Ghanaian and Dutch) and her Ghanaian mother set up the To Be Worldwide Educational Resource Center in Takoradi-Ghana. This includes a children's library, facilities for computer training, and activity program tailored to local needs. The Center is so successful that a second To Be Center was opened in Cape Coast in 2010.
Nellie came back from Ghana just a few weeks ago..
Nellie: "I was happy to be in Ghana again and be surrounded by the kids at the To Be Center. It is such a pleasure to see how happy they are and motivated to learn."
Nellie: "Last year we launched the empowerment backpack with educational materials to inspire the kids. We go to communities a bit further from our Centre, as these children cannot walk to the Centre."

Nellie: "The Empowerment Pack Program exceeded our expectations, receiving an incredibly positive response in the two communities where it has been implemented. Children eagerly gather at the designated meeting points assigned by community members, creating a consistent and welcoming space for weekly interactions."
Nellie:" Our First Gen. Alumni Frank, Isaac, Naomi, and Lydia, that went to our center between 2004 and 2012, donated money to support the implementation of the Empowerment Pack program in a community they selected. What an inspiring way to give back! We are incredibly proud of them and thankfull!
